This tool makes it easier than ever to move your site to WP Engine from your previous host. With our new personalized checklist interface, migrating your site is simple and seamless. Key features include:
- Track your progress: The guided navigation partners with you as you check the boxes when you’ve completed each task, keeping track of your progress during the migration.
- Tailored instructions: We’ve customized the instructions to match your install name, SFTP credentials, and other key details to lead you through the process.
- Help content: You can view Knowledge Base articles with helpful videos if you get stuck along the way.
- One-button preview: This unique and powerful tool allows you to simply press a button to preview your site in a new tab before you complete the migration.
- DNS propagation detection: Because DNS propagation can sometimes take some time, we’ll let you know that you’ve successfully migrated DNS to WP Engine with an email notification.
Migration Checklist is yet another example of WP Engine’s ongoing commitment to improving the user’s experience through customer-inspired innovation. This new feature will help customers migrate their site from other host providers to WP Engine quickly, with additional assistance and tools to ensure it’s done efficiently and properly.
