Hot on the heels of WordPress 3.8.2 comes version 3.8.3. This is not a security release.
WordPress 3.8.3 fixes a minor bug that was introduced in 3.8.2:
- The Quick Draft widget in the main WordPress Dashboard was not saving posts.
As a number of our customers rely on the Quick Draft function, our team has started rolling out updates to every customer on the 3.8.x branch of WordPress.
This means that you don’t need to concern yourself with updating your site, unless you need the fixes ASAP.
Thanks again for choosing WP Engine!

Hmmm. This still has not happened. Any reason for the hold up?
Jason Cosper says
Sorry about the delay on this, Paul! Our engineering team had to push out a code update yesterday that interrupted this process. Because 3.8.3 was a bug fix rather than a security update, it was deemed lower priority and got bumped. Nonetheless, it delayed some folks from getting the WordPress update.
The upgrade crew has been back on the case for a couple hours now and is rolling WordPress 3.8.3 to the remainder of our customers as quickly as possible.

No Worries, Mr. Cosper. Thanks for the update!
