After they learned they’d be on the season finale of Australia’s Shark Tank, Vegepod anticipated an increase in site traffic due to their new brought fame. With a data center located hundreds of miles away in Singapore, Vegepod sought out help from the web development agency Elephant Room to move their site to WP Engine, which has data centers and an integrated CDN option in Australia.
“We spoke to the WP Engine team who worked to ensure the site would be able to scale when the actual show aired,” said Adam Sharon-Zipser, Director of Elephant Room. He added, “at the time WP Engine was also rolling out HTTP/2, which was a big plus.”
In this case study, read about Vegepod’s experience with scaling their ecommerce site to remain online during the two-hour season finale of Shark Tank (and find out whether or not they got the investor deal!).
