Since we unveiled Mercury Vagrant, the easy to use HHVM and PHP vagrant for developers, last month, we’ve been hard at work addressing some fixes and changes. Today, we’re releasing Mercury Vagrant (HGV) v 1.1. In version 1.1 we’ve corrected some minor issues and made significant updates to the configuration to allow HHVM and PHP-FPM services to run WordPress from the same docroot and database. We’ve also added a new domain endpoint to support this functionality, http://fpm.hgv.dev.
This new domain shares the WordPress install that already exists under /nas/wp/www/sites/hhvm. Once you follow the update instructions, you can use this immediately. This is a big win! It required refactoring the provisioning code a bit to bring us closer to allowing user specified custom domains, which will be coming soon.
We have also fixed a major bug related to cache.php.hgv.dev permalinks returning 404 errors, i.e. not working. These are working now.
Keep an eye out for new releases as we continue to make this better and improve its functionality.
