When it comes to WordPress freelancers, Delaware is the leading state, by a wide margin, with the most WordPress freelancers per 100,000 residents, according to our new special report, “Working With WordPress: An Inside Look at the WordPress Economy Across the U.S.” Colorado, Utah, Oregon, and Washington round out the top five.
Meanwhile, California, Nevada, and Colorado boast the highest average hourly rate for freelancers at above $35.
Freelancers also differentiate themselves by leveraging additional skills. For example, our research found that Photoshop, general design, HTML5, and CSS top the list of additional skills that give WordPress freelancers and edge.

interesting chart but I’m not sure if elance is truly representative of all freelancers. those rates seem really low to me, just saying.
I agree, those number are very low. Are those rates United States only, or does it include global rates?
