WordCamp NYC took place this past weekend and was filled with WordPress-related speeches on a variety of topics, from developer tracks to marketing with WordPress and much more. Here’s a recap of the event in photos and with a few videos, too.
This year, WordCamp New York City took place at the United Nations. The camp joined forces with Open Camps, the world’s largest mission-driven open source conference. Above is a panoramic shot of the General Assembly.

“One of the most important things to do when working with a site that’s down is to make sure that you’re not the only one seeing it. Sites like downforeveryoneorjustme.com is a great resource to make sure your site is actually down.” WP Engine Technical Project Manager John Gamboa’s gave great tips in his talk, “Site Down: How To Triage Those First Minutes.”

Happy Third Birthday, Torque! Torque Magazine celebrated its third birthday in delicious style at WordCamp NYC with Torque-themed cupcakes.

Jan Dembowski and Hitoshi Omagari were seen flying around WordCamp, saving the day. Hitoshi’s team came to WordCamp NYC all the way from Japan.
