This year, WP Engine decided we would show our pride by marching in the 2016 Austin Pride Parade. A long-standing celebration of Austin’s diverse and supportive communities, the 26th annual Austin Pride Parade featured 130-plus contingents of local companies, nonprofits, and special-interest groups showcasing their pride.
The WP Engine Pride Parade contingent consisted of approximately 50 employees and our friends, family, and significant others. We assembled for a pre-parade happy hour at our Austin headquarters, and then marched through the capitol streets of Austin, showing our WP Engine pride. We rocked our fabulous ‘powered by diversity’ shirts, and in WP Engine event tradition, handed out stickers we created specially for Austin Pride.

WP Engine was also a proud early signer of the Texas Competes pledge; a partnership of business leaders committed to a Texas that is economically vibrant and welcoming of all people, including LGBTQ people.
With innovation and technology at its core, WP Engine also proudly participates and sponsors LGBTQ technology events like StartOut’s HackOut, an LGBTQ hackathon which WP Engine proudly provided employee mentors for and sponsored. At WP Engine diversity inspires, diversity innovates and quite simply diversity works.

At WP Engine our business thrives on diversity in all forms – diversity of ideas, diversity of beliefs, diversity of people. By embracing our differences, we become stronger. Pride.
