WP Engine’s New Office Space in Austin, Texas

Recently, WP Engine got to move into new office space in the same building we were founded in.  From day 1 we’ve been in the same office space with several tech companies, many of them rapidly growing startups that are part of the epicenter of Austin’s rapidly growing Startup Community.  The incubator, Capital Factory, is the draw for all the entrepreneurs and engineers that we get to bump into in the kitchen and have lunch with.  Capital Factory does 3 month programs with investment, resources, and mentorship every year.   For me personally, the fact that the WP Engine offices are at the heart of entrepreneurship and cutting edge innovation in Austin is a huge reason why I was excited and determined to join the team in 2012.

A few weeks ago, we moved along the entire Capital Factory community up to the top floor of the Omni Executive Suites in the heart of Downtown Austin.  The move was huge for the tech scene in Austin, and was covered by CNN, and several other places.  The story was called “‘Capital Factory’ spurs startups in Austin,” and if you scroll down, you’ll see a great picture of our founder, Jason, extremely focused on his laptop.  You know it’s a cool office space because in the photo there is a “Connect Four” game in the foreground.

The office space and the environment have given the company more room to grow, and a challenging, yet supportive community that will help us continue to grow.
